The Onondaga County Highway Superintendents Association was founded in 1974 to promote cooperative information sharing amongst the highway departments in Onondaga County. Together they pursue better funding opportunities such as the state Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) and share experience with each other in providing maintenance of their transportation systems. The association members meet once a month to share, listen and learn from each other. At monthly meetings guest speakers provide information on a variety of topics. You may hear about the latest Laws, Rules or Regulatory compliance issues, the newest technologies available, what is latest and greatest equipment out there and what services that our many vendors provide which assists us in servicing our community transportation systems.
